I'm getting slowwwerrrrrr...

Juice

Gimme a juicebox biatch!
Took the MM to the strip for the second time, only did two runs, but the best I could muster was 14.01 @ 98. The first time I went to the track I did a 13.50 @ 107, and that was with zero traction.

I didn't take the headlight out this time, and it was about 15 degrees hotter than when I ran the first time, but still not hot by any means (high was 77). Could those things really make that much of a difference, or should I start looking elsewhere?

Just curious, bit what kind of setup do you have? Engine, trans and gear wise.

What did your setup put down on the dyno? temp? tires?

I am looking to run this year just curious as I am shooting for 13.5 NA BBS.

Temp for the 13.50 run was high 50s, the 14.01 run was 77. Car has never been dyno'd but it should be similar numbers to any other stock MM with a Trilogy. Street tires (Nitto NT850 to be exact).

Seems a bit slow for a Trilogy S/C....I would expect you to be low 13's with a variance to mid/high 13's if you're putting out 400+ RWHP as most trilogies should be. I'm hoping to break high 12's in mine with 463 RWHP.

On the Trilogy tune, and Jmod only I pulled consistant 12.8's to 13.3's weather dependant. It was not dynoed but I would assume 380ish.

With an aggressive tune thrown at it and a 90MM MAF and MAFia together with a CAI it dropped to 12.3's at 445 RWHP.

I have long since added LT's and an X pipe without cats but never tuned and it spun up to 466 RWHP but had a LOUSY day at the track and IIRC high 80's temps she only mustered a 12.9?? (Bad tensioner losing 2 pounds of boost) Sorry, don't wanna remember the exact number LOL

I have recently added a 31 set up with 4.30's and plan to head back out in the fall to see where its at now.

Yes weather like we have had will kill E.T, this past weekend we took my bros cobra to the track,it ran 10.89 last year, yesterday in the humid figgin heat 11.20 was the best, car felt flat after the 1/8.

I ran a 14 flat a couple weeks ago with my trilogy and stock gears. Temp was in the upper 70s/ low 80s.... I thought it would have been faster

:bandit:X
Stock motor + Trilogy, shift kit on stock trans, stock gears.

I replaced the fuel filter, which was very restricted and the car hasn't missed since, so I'd like to think that was what the issue was.

I'm glad it was relatively simple.

I am curious to see the feedback.

I plan on taking my car to the track this Friday for the first time to see what I run. North Texas in July won't yield good track temps (expect air temps between 95 and 100 degrees at 7:30 pm), but still curious to see how I do.

I did talk to Jamesstang79 this weekend in Waco, and he said that letting the car cool down between runs was pretty important. He recommended:

-letting the car sit for at least 45 minutes after arriving to let the engine and trans cool down
-sweet spot for his car is just above the lower hash by the 'C'
-OD off
-let the tranny shift itself
-Rev to about 1000 to 1200 rpms (NA) to launch

One more thing I noticed about my set up is leaving off idle shaved .3 seconds. I had always tached up to 1000-1400 and it never felt right. Off idle with drag radials is nothing short of an amusement ride.

Turn your key on, but, don't start the engine. See if you can hear your intercooler pump running.

13.25 all day... :flamer:

I always run my vehicle at the track at full operating temp. Anything other than that is asking for problems.

I have over 250 runs in the Marauder including a number of 11.5's.

at These outside temps our stock bottom end won't hold 14sec of pump not cooling the charge temps.
To OP what's your elevation?

Then you've never datalogged how much timing gets pulled when exactly this scenario happens. I have and you'd be very suprised. ;)

AND... Your computer automatically starts adding more fuel to cool things off. Your Lamda will be LOWER than anything you command. I have proof if you need it.
