On a two week business trip in MI, and plan on seeing the Ford museum on Saturday, along with a car show in Taylor.
Sunday I was gonna head to the Gilmore museum for a Pierce-Arrow meet.
Just stuff I found while surfin the net for things to do.
Any other car related events going on?
Thanks, Jim

And where in Affordable Detroit might Wild Woody's be? :D
I do believe Wild Woody's is in Affordable Royal Oak. We had mentioned something about going to Bakers in Milford on Sunday. Unfortunately I will not be able to partake in any festivities.

Wild Woody's is in Roseville on Gratiot Ave. The North Gratiot Cruise is Sunday the 27th. A smaller version of the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Panther meet at Stoney Creek park tomorrow (Sat) afternoon at 2 p.m.

Sell something Jim... you gotta lotta mods coming.....
Look in the mirror and say three times " I deserve this sale. I earned it. I worked hard for it. No one else works as hard or as well as I do. I will close this deal and the customer will be happy I did. Nobody does it better than me!"
Go git 'em!

In the "Saved from making a new thread" dept, I returned to sunny MI for the holidays (for those of you still living here, I hope you appreciate the humour).
It's incredible, being reminded of just how hostile Michigan drivers are! Part of my route was 23/96/696, and it was 90MPH+, bumper to bumper, through the twisty parts, and if you dared to leave a single car length between the guy you were following, some idiot would place his car in it, whether or not he actually wanted a lane change. It was so bad, I honestly believe that these "drivers" were simply doing a "test fit" of their cars into these gaps!

You obviously haven't driven in LA. I hate going out there because of traffic, I find Detroit to be tame after driving in the LA nighmare. What's great about 696 in Detroit is that you're 20 feet below ground level and there's no way out. On the below ground portions of the Lodge (M10) freeway, there's ladders so you can escape to a neighborhood where you'll get shot.

I can navigate my 21.5' crew cab truck, with a vision obscuring truck-cap, through Detroit rush-hour traffic no problem. Just don't let them see fear and make your lane changes without regard to crashing and you'll be fine.

I commute 90 miles each way Flint thru Ann Arbor.
90 to 95 MPH 1-2 carlengths, 20 to 30 cars drafts from 6:00 to 6:30 am, NASCAR would be safer.

Yellow reflective tape stripes on the back up lights for the daily driver. Now you know why. Seel brake lines next.
