Bill I have two of your engines in my boat. 3208TAs. Great engines! I love 'em!! Sorry to see 'em go.....

Yes Marty, the Cat V8-3208 diesel was a really great engine for over 35 years. I was sad to see it go non-current status but as diesel technology changed and new EPA exhaust restrictions became tighter it finally became obsolete.

I am sure there will be plenty of them still around in the next 30 years.
Glad to here you like them.

Our new ACERT engines that meet 2005 EPA clean air requirements are
getting great reviews on power and fuel economy. These truck engines are now on allocation throughout 2005.

Have a Good One!

Are you trying to say that my 3208's are smokers????? Those babies keep the yapping boat owners from congregating behind my boat! Plus they keep the mosquitoes away too.

MACS are still toys made to pacify those who cannot or will not delve into the complexities of real computers.

The WINTEL platform offers far more flexibility and capability than ANY MAC.

The small and self-absorbed MAC world is an 'isolated island' from a technical perspective.

There was once a period of time (1982 - 1986) where MACS offered far greater graphics and music capability than WINTEL offerings. That time is long past. I won't even go into other platforms like the Amiga here.

Why do MAC people always feel the need to maintain a cult of affinity for their machines? They are not Marauders after all!

The MAC faithful are somewhat entertaining for the rest of us!

Wow you all have such exciting careers. Me I'm just an retired Astronut, looking to make a few dollars on the side. Phil have any pointers? One time I landed on another planet, I think it was called Belview Hsp. not sure on the spelling, on another trip I made to another galaxy called Brookhaven, but everyone there was crazy. Now I just work for a Govt. contractor at an army medical research facility. But what I would really like to do is be a Professional Grass Grow Watcher and Squirel Feeder, the pay isn't the best the you get to make your own hours.

Not touching that!!!!!!!!

My life long career has been spending too much money buying WAY TOO MANY Ford and Lincoln Mercury products!! To support this HABIT, I work as a self employed Realtor, buy homes to restore and re sell and take an unbelieveable amount of abuse from a bunch of unruly tenants!! :argue:

PeeCee fixer, Mac user. Windows flaws pay my bills ;) I'd starve if I had to rely on Mac repairs, they just won't break!

Hear hear! My AS/400 have uptimes measured in years. I've even swapped processors, drives, memory and power supplies without downtime.

If Windows didn't break all the time, I wouldn't have anything to do! It's pretty bad when <a href='http://slate.msn.com/id/2103152/'>Microsoft's magazine "Slate"</a> says you should dump Internet Exploder for Mozilla or Firefox.
