How do you guys have your Marauders insured?
I am wanting to do an agreed value policy like on my older cars.
I will only have fire and theft on it during the winter since it is in storage and not driven.
Do any of you have special policies on yours?
I wouldnt want a typical policy, in case something happens, the insurance company can easily total the car.
What are your thoughts?

^^^ exactly why I hunted down a company that would do the MM as an agreed price. Most wouldn't because it wasn't old enough.

I went with Hagerty. "Special Interest Cars" was the classification.
The lady on the phone was super nice, and knowledgable.
I'm happy with them.
Price dropped to more than half of what I was paying before. (Plus the agreed value is the bonus!).
Note: there are restrictions on driving; so just be aware of that.

Auto Owners has my MM, its in storage right now so fire, theft, vandalism... during the summer months I switch her to full coverage stated value. $15,000 is what I have on her. I know my car is not worth that, but with more and more of them ending up in the river shot full of holes, I wanted to be covered.

Man I need to do this. I'm so afraid of the Merc getting plowed and totaled.

DTR + 4.10's + Eaton swap = Wreeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom

I am thinking of switching to Hagerty as well for all of my cars 48 ford coupe, 51 Merc, and the Marauder
I have heard good things about them. Anyone have to file a claim with Hagerty?
With parts becoming hard to find, agreed value is the only way to go, and over insure it!
Insurance companys would not think twice about putting Grand Marquis bumper covers on it, after all the vin says it is one.

My DD has Full coverage, stated value @ $12,500, 500 deductible collision and comp, 100/300/100 liability, Uninsured motorist, towing, hotel and rental. $1.65 a day, 600.00 a year. But I do have $140.00 of premium deductions, multiple line, multi-car, accident free.

In most cases, check your specific policy,

Stated Value = the most the insurance company will pay but not the amount, essentially they have limited the max payment

ACV = anything and everything must be considered in determining the value

Agreed = the amount paid in the event of a total loss

Tell them Marty Ochs sent you. They insure my entire collection through American Modern.

Hagerty has mine. I filed a claim on my 73 SS Nova, after Katrina. They sent a guy out and totaled it. Bought it back for $2000.00 Stated value $10,000.00. Turned around and sold it.

American collectors insurance in cherry hill nj

Agreed value $20,000 with 5,000 miles a year I pay about $320....for the year.

Hagerty is very easy to deal with. Not realy any mileage restriction but can't be a dd. You must show you have a dd with regular insurance. Liabilty coverage is very cheep most of cost is comp. And collision so no need to drop liabilty in winter. They do make you pay a year at a time lump sum no payments

Hagerty insures all three MM's for the cost of one. Asked them how and they said "you can only drive one at a time". Good point..
