Lysholm 3.3

Other than reading earlier threads about clearance issues with the wiper cowl. What other external mods would be necessary ? Sorry for kickin a dead horse.

There is one Merc running around with this set up. I can't recall his name. I know he has pics on Instagram and here. I think he also sold the car.

So yes, there is some info out there. ;)

As stated this blower was used in a Marauder, and made around 800rwhp , but forget about installing it on a stock Marauder Motor, it's going to require a forged motor, and Vortech bought Lysolm.

New long block required ?

a 3.3 blower is too much for stock block, a 2.3 is max for a stock block with forged internals. it wont be legal in CA for a marauder

Nothing's legal in CA..... Stock block is good for 800-900 hp......with forged guts. IIRC, anything past a 2.9 will require E85 or a race fuel diet, or a serious de-tune.

I asked Lidio when I did mine, he told me 800-900 on the stock block.

But...... with all mechanical things, anything can go wrong. Just the nature of the beast. Also, your only going to obtain a certain amount of traction with a 305/45 DR, all the 3.3 will give you is bragging rights. A perfect example, a guy local to me has a 1100 rwhp charger 09' SRT that has been built, it runs 12's..... smokes the tires off the majority of the quarter.

It's boost rather than blower size that limits you on the fuel. Just underdrive it so the boost isn't too high and premium pump gas will work just fine. About 18 psi is good for pump gas and 9.5:1 CR. Forged internals should be a given, there have been way too many blown up stock engines.

It sort of defeats the purpose of going to a 3.3 and cranking the boost down, it's easier to go E85 or race fuel, go big or go home.

Yeah, my 3.4 setup really sux.
why don't you sell the 3.4 and enjoy a 2.9, best street blower I thank it would work really
with your engine build.

we need pics of a 3.3 under the hood of a marauder.....anyone

bueller..........bueller.............
