Marauder vs newer SHO.

Guess u don't want a Dodge.lol love my 392 challenger, turned more heads and got more compliments in the 1st week of owning it then 4yrs with the marauder.

There's a couple very low 12 sec (12.1-12.3) stock challengers out there motortrend says will run 12.5 in 1/4.

I adored the MM but only this I miss is the ride, how it just glided through on the rode.

I get compliments daily when I take my car out... See 392 challenger all day long... Especially in metro Detroit.

The SHO Taurus looks cool has a fat butt loke the marauder lol but 43k for the top of the line awd sho ........ wow

^ Agreed. I can't stand how bloated the back end of the Taurus' look. Combined with the ridiculously high roof line, makes it very unattractive to me. I would rather consider an MKS and lower it.

I have recently looked into two door Audi S5s (V8 with manual), but if I were to look into a 4-door, I would consider a Dodge Charger.

I went and drove one the other day. Interior blows. Again, the door/window lines are way to high and the dash surrounds you. I don't need to feel like I'm in a submarine. I have better front end awareness in my fox with a cowl hood than a Charger.

GM is re-releasing the G8 with the Impala SS coming back out. My buddy works at the local Chev dealer. When they get one he's gonna give me a call so I can come drive it.

I know what you mean about the interior, the bloated center dash/console makes it even more claustrophobic.

Keep an eye out for what Buick decides to do with the new grand national too. There isn't a definite answer as to what it looks like, and what power train it will use for sure.

I purchased a 2010 Certified MKS w/ Ecoboost.
Paid $31000 for a car that listed over $57000.
Biggest advantage: No repairs. It is plenty fast for stock.
I get a little better gas mileage in the city, way better on the highway.
Seeing out the sides and rear are bad. Thank goodness for Rear back-up camera.
THe Marauder is in the middle of over $2000 in repaires.
Front Upper Control Arms w/ Ball joint
Rear Control arms (Bushings fell apart)
Now either the differental or Axel is broken (Making loud Noise).

So part of the "Plan" the wife and I have we've now gotten her something pretty new. (11' Escape) Once we have it paid off in about 2 years I'll be selling the Merc to get an Eco Boost SHO. As fun as this sounds I have reservations, and you guys may think they are stupid.

#1. I love knowing I can fix this car without any special tools. The drive train is not unique to one specific or limited. The last SHO I had parts were a NIGHTMARE.

#2. V8 Sound and RWD. I start my car up and people are like "Damn..." and cruising around its such a great sound and... BRAKESTANDS (need I say more?) WHEEEEEW YEEEEEAH BABY!!! BEST BRAKESTANDS EVER!!!!

Hee-hee.

I heard if you lightly engage the parking brake on an AWD SHO or MKS, the AWD disengages and you're left with front wheel drive.

Hee-hee.

Now, I don't think you have a near-bulletproof drivetrain, so I don't think you want to try this often... but they'll smoke like you won't believe... even from a 10mph roll! :banana2:
