Miles to tank?

I just got 251 miles to my tank before the fuel light came on, is this about normal average? 90% city, 10% highway.

Sounds about right. I average around 270 a tank in heavy commute, so 251 with mostly city .... Not bad.

But you should probably exercise that right foot more .. Press the pedal down a bit more, and you will have more fun with the car!

I seem to be averaging about 225 miles to the tank. I like the gas pedal too much to try and stretch the mpg's out.

I fill up at 250 miles max to avoid exposing the fuel pump under acceleration.
On a 65 mph full highway trip, I got exactly 21 mpg. (210 miles / 10 gallons to refill)
Average mixed driving gets 18-19 mpg = ~250 miles / tank.

If you want useful data reset your trip meter when you fill her up. I always place the nozzle in the same depth and stop after the second click.

The next time you get gas write down the amount of gallons. Then divide the number of miles on the trip meter by the number of gallons. This equals your miles per gallon.

For a more accurate reading fill up when there is less than a 1/4 tank.

There is a "Mileage" app I use on my phone. Yellow icon with black fuel pump, Evan Charlton.

Avg fuel economy - 15.84
Worst fuel economy - 11.15
Best fuel economy - 23.65
Avg distance - 228.14

260-290 on average in the warm months
200 if I'm lucky in cold months with winter blend gas

343 was the best I ever got with conservative driving and nearly stock.

310 was easily obtainable.

This was with nothing more than a "flash" and K & N air filter.

It all depends on how heavy of a foot you have and air conditioning.
I usually get 200-230 city driving with air conditioning.
During winter, it goes up to 230-250. If I add in freeway driving,
I can go 280-330. All freeway 310-360.
