Miles too high to S/C?...

I dont have 10k sitting around at the moment Chris but a motor like that would surely make me enjoy the car more. At least I have an idea on what a motor with the charger goes for... sheesh. When money and time permits I probably will go with the purchasing of a used lower mileaged motor.
Seems like buying a good used motor (mileage wise) and saving for a S/C kit will be almost as close to one of the Cobra motors..... damn sometimes I hate this car.
 
Question
Lets say I was able to purchase one of the Cobra motors would i need the transmission also?... or will my stock one due?...
 
Stock. It's still a mod motor, therefor any 4.6 or 5.4 engine will bolt any 4.6 or 5.4 trans.

Not too mention all cobras where 6 speed. Trust me, you don't want to take that on...
