My best friend died today...

My father passed away this morning. He went in for an "overnight" procedure two weeks ago and never came home. He had his share of health problems, but he had never been hospitalized in his life. We are all still in shock.

My Dad was the "go to" man in everyone's life he touched. His family....his friends....his neighbors...they were all touched by his willingness to do anything for them. He was them most self-less man I ever knew. I'd be greatful if I could ever amount to be a fraction of the man my Dad was.

He will be deeply missed.

Hug your parents. Hug your kids. Tell them how much you love them. Enjoy every moment.

This is the hardest thing I have ever experienced in my life and I miss my Dad. I miss my best friend.

That may not bring much comfort right now, but just remember that a lot of people care about you and will be there for you.

Mike, I lost my father to heart disease, while my wife Nancy, was pregnant with my only son.
Nothing prepares you for a loss this great.

My most sincere condolences. Consider the fact that your father will always be with you - trust me on this. I know that doesn't help at this time but will in the future. Remain strong for the rest of your family. They need you as much as you need them. Celebrate your father's life and relish your's with him!

I am very sorry for your loss. Losing your father is one of the hardest things to go through. I lost my father suddenly 3 years ago to sudden cardiac arrest. It too was unexpected. All I can say is cling to your family, they provide the best comfort you can get.
 
I lost my father when I was 15 yrs old to heart disease. Not a day goes by that I don't wish we could of spent more time playin with cars or whatever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
 
Sorry for your loss Mike. I am happy for you both he is your best friend. Always will be too. Seems we feel we never will be as great a Man as our Dads, that's respect....

I lost my father several years ago due to a Heart Attack and not one day goes by that I dont miss him. All you can do is keep his memory alive and remenise on all the good times you both shared together. Its not going to be easy but life does continue and Im sure that he is in a better place watching over you at this very moment proud to have you as a son. My deepest condolances

Mike, I knew something was wrong Friday when I got out and you had left. As I told you last week you can call me for anything anytime. My prayers to you and your family.
