I wanted to share with you my recent rebuild on my Marauder that's been taking place over the last year. I bought this car new in 2003, and other than a slight fender bender I have had no real issues with the car, being in California limits a lot of what you can do to any car, for example you have to have the Carb permit for a K&N air cleaner, so other than a SCT tune and 4:10 gears the car was stock and over the years the heat out here destroyed the paint, and I had racked up 133 thousand miles on the car. So I love the car I decided to have it completely rebuilt, so here is the list, new 31 spline posi track rear end with kevlar clutches, 410 Gears Addco front and rear sway bars, Pro guard rear skid plate, Dyno Tech Drive shaft built transmission, with PI 3500 converter, all new struts and shocks. And they installed new camber kits for added alignment refinement.
I am running Continental Extreme Contact 255/55/18 in the rear and 235/50/18 in the front. I bought the very last S/C Alluminators short block sold, I had the heads redone with three angled valve job, ARP head studs, and rear engine cooling modification, and a Mark 8 water pump. Vortech is the only S/C sold that is Carb certified for California, and I had a V3 done in flat black, I am running a 3.3 pulley with a innovators west over drive dampener.
I am running 60 pound injectors with a Aero motive stealth fuel pump, with a dash # 8 line from the tank to the fuel rails with Vortechs new boost a pump, and a SCT BA5000 mass air flow sensor, and I am using the new ITSX tuner that works with my I phone, I can pull pids up and monitor them and data log as well. The car is a air to air inner cooled all pipes and sheet metal are flat black, I am running fully stock exhaust except for ceramic coated exhaust manifolds. I installed Navigation Pioneer X930 with blue tooth with back up camera this unit has with it steering wheel controls and Sirus receiver and added a built in Radar system. Then I sent it off to the paint and body shop. , all new window switch moldings, the car had to be stripped to be painted, the driver's door hinge had to be replaced and the paint looks like glass, the shop had the cover that covers the headlights done in a carbon fiber it looks great, at 14 PSI it makes 550 RWHP. My granddaughter is begging me to let her drive it.
