Need some help with a fuel pump question

Good evening all-

I am a recent survivor of a DR supercharger kit installation- and I am phrasing that carefully- but am having problems with a few issues with the fuel system. I have a 2003 Marauder with the returnless fuel system that I think I have completed the installation of my DR supercharger kit into - but I am having problems with the fuel pump.
I am now on my second Stealth pump and this time I am beginning to wonder if the stock fuel system needs any modification for the use of this pump set up for use with the supercharger kit. When tested the new pump registers 40 lbs pressure at start up but quickly settles down to 30 lbs and doesn't vary from that pressure- this seems low but is it correct? The last pump died on a fairly hot day on a long trip- but when left to "cool" off it works fine - which doesn't seem normal for a bad electrical fuel pump.
Any ideas for me to try? The error message was insufficient pressure in the fuel log which seems odd as well- but I am just wondering if there was any other modifications that were left out of the instructions with the DR kit?

Stay away from DR..no wonder there is a problem...Someone here that is way more familiar with the fuel system should respond..My recommendation is stick with Marty O at MO's Speed shop in our vendors section. They can remote tune your marauder easily with datalogging etc..and not give you the run around

I am not familiar with the stealth pump.

Did you remove the check valve that is at the pump?
 
Sounds like the FPDM is going into thermal shutdown.
Also, if you're using an autometer fuel pressure gauge, they always read 30-32 for some strange reason, when in reality it's 39-40
 
What is a FPDM?

I did not remove the check valve - another missing detail from Reinhart's instructions - but would this be the reason for the premature death of the pumps?

It could be as easy as the Aeromotive Stealth pumps being not a good quality pump- is that a possibility?
 
My guess would be fpdm also. I would start there. If nothing changes, contact Marty at Mo's Speed Shop.
 
Thanks - I'll start with the FPDM replacement

But - what is a BAP?

I am feeling a bit out of date ( old) with this car…..
