I rode around a couple of neighbourhoods in my area one time and found a number of people had their name as their SSID...and it was unencrypted. :shake:

HAHA! I have the same name on mine, Had it for years. Friends come over and try to log in and go Holy ***** the FBI is near us. haha!

Yep. Little harder for the novices to find anyway.

Last tech conference I was at, someone had a hotspot labelled "To catch a predator van".

Needless to say, I did not connect to it.

In a surveillance van?

They will get an arrest and search warrant in a heart beat, probably a no knock SWAT and you will have to post bail to get out of jail since it's a Federal Offense.

You will have to hire a criminal attorney with Federal Experience and pay, pay, pay.

Assuming you have never been arrested you will likely pay a fine, court costs, probation costs and be on felony probation for 2 years.

If you are lucky after probation compliance with out any violations or more arrests you pay some more and petition for it being expunged. The Federal ADA will have to approve the expunge.
