I am very serious about getting a 2003 or 2004

My concern is how the car was driven regarding using the 91 or 93 octane?

Is there test i can have done on the engine to give me some confidence there is no problem if the higher octane was not used.

and any other thoughts I sure welcomed. Soon as I sell my toy, a 1999 2500 cummins dodge, hello Marauder

I would think an oil analysis would be a good starting point if you have a concern. I am not well versed in that but that would be my suggestion

There is no test to see if a car has been running 87 octane. If it runs and idles good, no stumbles on wot and no pinging then prolly good to go

Your way over thinking your approach.

^^^What he said^^^

I bought mine from a Ford Engineer with 28,000 miles on it and he used 87 octane. I started putting 93 octane in it from the time I bought it and have had no problems. Good luck on your search!
