It is time to pick the next meeting place. It have been four days since the last one.

What do we want? Trees, Mountains, Water(Fresh or Salt) Ideas please.

Alkie beach? Although, it might be problem now that it's boating season. Golden Gardans might be another nice area.

Like this?

Throwing out the first suggestion; Meet in Seattle for breakfast cruise up to Snoqualmie Pass and stop, take a break, continue on to Roslyn where they filmed Northern Exposure. Have lunch or pic-nic.

Sounds like a plan. The BMW club I am in does this regularly at meets. They put emphasis on the drive. It's always nice to cruise with friends.

Excellent idea.

Also, don't forget about the races tomorow. I'm going! :):burn: :drive: :hotrice:

Roslyn works for me. It would be 102 mi and 1h 41m one way from my place. There is (was?) an bar in town that has a running water floor level trough "spitoon" set up at the bar. Kinda makes ya think about how the old days were. Not far in Cle Elum there is a smoked meat shop that has out of this world stuff. Ever had any beef jerky just out of the oven before it gets too stiff??...Mnnnn.

I'm OK with Mt Rainier as well. It would be a long day at 124 mi and 2h 35m but when its nice up there it's spectacular. My last time was July 2004 and my MM plus passengers loved it!

If we want to head north we could go to Anacortes (60 mi and 1h 6m) or Deception pass (65 Mi and 1h 13m) as you suggested.

We could also consider Semiahmoo via Chuckanut Drive (Hwy 11) and Bellingham (93 mi and 1h 35m). It might be easier for the BC MM's to make it.

Just some thoughts! I'm easy.:)

PS - Jon - I believe the old Firefighters Museum has been demo'd to make way for the New North Marina expansion project.

Okay, we have the interest. We need to get all the locals involved, pick the destination and the date. I'm ready for Sunday June 25.

P.S. Does anyone know of a local Mercury Car Show?

Hi All,
Sorry I missed the last one!! I hope to make any you'll come up with. I'm in Alaska the week 25th thru the 30th, midnight sun this time of the year.
Cheers, Terry

Sorry I missed the last one....there is the CANAM International in Lynden Washington this weekend. July 8 is the "Big M Mercury" meet In Richmond BC...I haven't been to the Merc meet in the past, but the CANAM's a good one.
Tim

Sorry but I'm toast until July 15th or after. The Big M Mercury meet sounds interesting but I've a Company Picnic on the 8th.
