For Sale Porterfield R4-S Brake Pads - Brand New!

I might be interested. I run several autocross events each year. I'm currently running a set of Carbotech AX6 pads. Trying to determine how these compare.

I've run them on auto cross as well as Roebling Road without fade. Roebling has a 140mph straight into a 50mph turn 1 --- these pads work very well.

Would you take $120? I'm just not sure how they compare to my CarboTech AX-6 pads. If they are not as aggressive, then I'd run them in the winter.

I installed these Porterfield pads this morning then bedded them in. Took it for a drive this afternoon and the cold bite is a little better than my CarboTech AX-6 pads and these don't squeal. I have an Auto Cross event on Sunday and I think they will work just fine. To me, these would be a good street pad for anyone with the stock size rotors that wants a more aggressive pad. I think they are better than the Hawk HPS pad. I'll let you know how the brake dust is once I get a few miles on them.

Good feedback, as I was considering these when for sale:beer:

They will squeal. Get anti-squeak shims and grease the contact points with caliper grease. May help, not necessarily zero noise however.

They are a decent pad compound, possibly not up to higher temperature use.

I have the R4S pads on all four corners on my '03. Been there a couple years now, I and have never heard them squeal.
When I installed them, I did replace all four rotors with factory new. But otherwise, nothing fancy.
