Are bikes dangerous? Yes and no. They are dangerous when "squids" are riding them. They do not respect the power or they are young and feel that they will live forever.
I am more scared of the cars on the road when I ride. I am very defensive when I ride. I treat every car as a threat, ie... they will pull out in front of me, turn left across my lane and generally not see me. Riding a bike does make you a better car driver because you will be more alert to your surroundings.
 
yeah, well "squids" or not, it's because of the fact that a car can easily take your leg off or worse, that I said that bikes are dangerous. Meaning there's more potential for bodily harm. It's as simple as that.
