Yeah, I figured I was (at high risk for tickets), but I'm always as careful as I can be. I never speed unless conditions allow it. I always stay in the right hand lane unless I'm passing someone. I keep both hands on the wheel and no radio. I watch everything as far front and as far behind as I can see and everything in between, and I never go more then 10 to 20 over if traffic starts to get heavy. I've learned most of how I drive from my sister, who works at the local Acura dealer, and she's a damn good driver for a woman.

1. Dodge Intrepid 19.8 MPG Anyone see these car out there yet?

Yep. Saw one this Saturday going to the USC vs Florida football game in Columbia, S.C. Belonged to the SC State Highway Patrol. Marked but had no lights on roof and was rigged with at least rear aspect radar. SC Highway Patrol Cars are a Common silver/grey with blue stipes, and large emblem on door. Without lights they are tough to pick out in a croud.

Yeah, I was on a decent stretch of I-85 in Greenville right before the "Phelem" exit...not sure what exit number was. I was doin about 100-105 in the Marquis it was an up hill and there were no officers in front or behind me. I couldn't see how they could hide off to the side either so I figured what the hell, I'm bored anyways. Well, 105 isn't that much more interesting, but I don't have a detector.

I hear that some folks say they get off with just a warning...are there any standard techniques to 'debating' with an officer, or is it just luck of the draw that you can get off with that? Being 16, they'll just hand me a citation anyways right?

SOUNDS LIKE YOU WERE ALL IN AT 100 TOO 105 MPH APPROX IF YOU HAVE NOT CHIPED IT! I REALLY DOUBT YOU WILL RECIEVE A WARNING DOING 100+ MPH I PREDICT A FREE RIDE IN A P-71 CROWN VIC. HEY MAYBE WEAR A BLUE HAIR WIG THAT WOULD HELP YOU IN YOUR MARQUIS TO POSSABLE PUT YOU IN STEALTH MODE!:P

Well now I'm scared sh*tless...and I'll second that you can't see SC highway patrol for crap.

And I've ridden in a P71 before...I was 14 and being out at 1:30 was "too late" according to the officer. So she took me home after telling me that I lied about where my house was. Agh.
