Say good bye to New Blue and hello to Lead Foot!

A number of years back (wow how time flies...) I finally had to retire my blue 1979 Chevy C20 (god I miss that truck!) and replaced it with a blue 99 F150. Well it’s been breaking faster than I can repair it, combined with hitting 200,000 miles I’m not comfortable driving any distance and the rust! I put my foot through the bed floor, the paint and spray on bed liner is all that’s left of floor, metal is gone. So got a business lease 2018 F150 in Lead Foot gray.

Nice!
I'm mildly biased since my stepfather is a ford salesman.
I have a '71 gmc 3/4 ton pickup. It's mine until I die, and then my brother has dibs.

I loved my C20. Originally planned to rebuild it, even have a bunch of OEM replacement body panels up in garage.

Unfortunately it had been sitting decaying for too many years so would need cad & bed.

Decided to let it go, maybe I'll come across a survivor to replace it...

Pretty much everything I wanted except color by its growing on me. It’s called Lead Foot. Looks like someone sprayed clear over grey primer

I wanted Magnetic which is a metallic gun metal gray but with F150 production shut down and inventory getting very low I couldn’t get picky.

The windshield is so far away it’s like looking through a port hole and the A pillars are HUGE and block a lot of vision

Already have 1st warranty repair with only 11 miles on it. RR tail light was full of water when I did acceptance inspection

Someone screwed up big time at dealer. I ordered a drop in plastic bed liner to protect the aluminum foil bed seeing it’s a lease so can’t turn in with damage. They sent it out to Linux for a spray on bed liner. Looks nice but provides zero dent protection

Loving the Bluetooth radio!

10 speed trans is annoying but I’ll tune it out eventually

It happens unfortunately. I need to clean my carb, again, and replace brakes at this point. Thankfully the cab is solid and the bed only has minor holes where the saddle tanks had trapped detritus over the years.
My '71 suburban is a different story. Might possibly have half a "cab" mount holding the body to the frame. Was doing the wiring harness a few years ago and noticed that body was severely rotted underneath. It's on my "someday" list, right next to my Camaro.

The grey looks good in the pictures.
My 2007 f350 was dark shadow grey, which I believe is what they call magnetic now. Still one of my favorite colors to date. Ford likes to change the name, but not the actual color every few years.

If you're serious about a replacement a friend has a '69 c20 454 4spd which will be for sale soon. It's in decent shape for a decent price.
I want the engine/ trans for my truck, but don't think it's gonna happen.

Great truck enjoy it Mang [emoji2][emoji106]

Good Looking F-150! I've heard the 5.0L is the way to go. Is it a three valve motor? Ten speed trans! How many mpg's does it get?

I am not familiar with the Coyote yet but I believe it is a 4v head. If I'm wrong someone will correct me.

18mpg is best so far.
