broke but not dead!
SCT will now require all SCT dealers and "Pro Racer" users to sign an agreement where they relinquish any rights to any intellectual properties obtained using their software.
In other words; Your programming becomes SCT's property.
They also want a hand in any changes made from hand held tuners when those change hands privately.
Look at SCT's website for details, the new agreement on PDF is like a book.
I am still waiting on my tune , hopefully this does not chase our legit dealers off.

LOL its because they realize the tuners doing the actual work are much smarter than them, and want to benefit from them by stealing THEIR knowledge to build better base tunes and look like heroes.

Pretty funny revolving door isnt it?

I just read it...you are an instigating idiot Bradley.

Its the exact form from 2004. Go take a bath or fly a kite will ya?

Who's software or calibration work have you stolen lately Zack?

You are known throughout the industry as a thief.

SCT is stupid. They should go after you.

He's done more good for the users than the company ever could.

They didn't go after him and won't. The companies would rather spend their money on making a product with more restrictions and benefit over a rival.

Not happening and that's old news anyway.

In before the lock!

If the first line in the OP's post is the criteria by which tuners are branded thieves, that's ******** straight up.

Yes, I understand the legal side of "well you agreed to it when you signed on", but that's still ridiculous.

Then prove im a thief! I got my Cease and Decist Letter, its over pal.

Funny, if only you knew who was passing along the 'illegal' software from EFITO. LOL at everything that has happened and giving me way more than 15 minutes of fame. :banana2:

I am not obligated to prove ****. Everyone knows you are a thief. The true enthusiasts and professionals in this sport are hurt by criminals like you.

You are lucky those running SCT are bigger shitheads than you Zack. They could have and should have bankrupt you long ago. The shitheads will just make everyone else pay.

I'm also a musician the other half of my time. Have been all my life.
I compare this to the whole "Napster" thing of stealing music on-line.

What I mean is, if you don't pay a musician for their work, you're taking money that is rightfully theirs. When music became a digital format, and it was made available through the computer medium, the "pandora's box" was opened. The record companies, though they tried to stop it best they could, had no choice but to accept it, and offer things to customers as "extras" to those who would buy their product. ie: tickets; vouchers for t-shirts and apparel; etc.

As with the tuners. There is no way that any of these companies can control the sharing of a computer file. If a dealer can adjust their software, then it can be hacked and shared (albiet illegal). They had just better accept that this is happening (as they will spend so much money and time trying to control something that they really NO control of), and offer more to a paying customer. I don't know what that could be, but just offering the product alone these days...well it just isn't enough.

- my 2 cents.

Bradley lets keep this on track and professional and I know you are professional, SCT is in a real tough spot, there trying to protect there dealers as well as themselves, although this original agreement has some areas that many disagree with, I am sure they are looking at revising it, put your self in there position what would you do, and no matter what they do, they still have very good software, so this is all I am going to say about this I am headed to Indiana, I hope every one has a great week.

This isnt gonna go anywhere, its over and DR won by crying his eyes out to the owners and S_C_T.
As the majority of tuners out there will say publicly...'I could give a hoot because Ive tuned less Marauders than I have fingers' Unfortunately for DR he has chosen to make a living off an 8 year old car, has managed to have a negative website started in his honor, and has more BBB complaints than customers.

I on the other hand, just wanted to help a club in a department others could not perfect, and for little to no money. It just proves that you cant be a helpful enthusiast anymore because somewhere down the line, someone is not going to profit from it and sing the blues.

If I was one of the parties mad at me, Id be spending my time on the 2011 Mustang rather than throwing time and money out the door on me.

Again, HUGE LOL
