Shoulder Belt for Convertible

Another boring idea, used 3/16 large head steel rivets. I prefer this over using an existing anchor bolt of the rear seat's outmost belt, that rubs the neck to much. (same method can apply to older 4 door hardtops) This gives me a left shoulder belt, and for my right shoulder, I use existing anchors.

I'd hate to be in that belt in a crash. It will most likely tear and make the belt useless.

There are high standards and regulations for seat belts. The belt should be looped and sewn.

Interesting concept though.

That's true 437, but as an intelligent person would realize, the energy that it takes to rip this belt off reduces the kinetic energy your body then has.

Let me eat my earlier comment. I was not probably clear. I have the factory lap belt, a 'full strength' right shoulder belt, and this critter for my left shoulder. Good n plenty.

In reguards to the seat belts RCI makes a street belt that is combined lap and double shoulder harness, one latch.
Look in your Summit cat. :coolman:
