Strange noise

Wow...2 years later and no one has diagnosed the problem?

Put it on a lift and use a mechanic's stethoscope to try to pinpoint where it's coming from.

Jack it up, remove the tires and reinstall a couple of lug nuts to hold the brake rotor tight. Put it in drive and watch the axles and see if one is bent.

I replaced a bent drivers side axle last year on a members car that made the EXACT clunk clunk sound. It was the axle pushing on the brake caliper every revolution but you would only hear it at slow speeds.

He let it get so bad that the pads wore away all the metal for the brake pad slides and I had to replace the caliper bracket..

Just watch it rotate with out tires and make sure it turns true and isn't bumping into the brake caliper every rotation.

My bet is on the axle being bent at the outer end.

Today who I´m so desperate, return the car to stock tune.( I thought the problem was electric....) and I find it.
In the stock tune the clunk dissapear.
I don´t know what the tuner did but something do to leave the car as it.

Now I can feel how shifts 1-2. firmer....no clunk....

The Transmission had some electrical conflict like want to put 1 and 2 at the same time in D.

I think that the problem is located....only need a good tune.

In the following days try to move the car carefully ( has the stock tune with the supercharger) and see if the clunk definitely dissapear.

So happy today.....in one way, but very pissed off about the waste of time and money( 3 transmission) Same sound with the 3)) trying to get the reason, and the key had in my own hands.

Thank you so much to of all you. You all have tried to help me and I´m very grateful...

I let you know how it works as soon as possible.

No worries, mate. We're just glad you found the issue.

Contact Marty at Mo's Speed Shop in Dallas GA for a proper tune. He's a supporting vendor here.

Keep the RPMs under 2,000 and drive like a grandma. I've done it but it takes nothing to wreck the engine if not careful.

Thank you for the advise. Only take the car in the city to see if the sound appear or not. Most all the time trying shiffitng 1-2.....2-1. Max rpm 1500-1600, máximun speed about 30mph. As I know can blown the engine, I went like a grandma.
Need to enjoy with the car. 4 years with her and the same sound since arrives to Spain. The man who tune the car....something done with the transmission.....very rare, but he did. First time I suffer something like that.

I had the transmission tuning removed from my supercharged tune and the car performs much better now. I have all the trick parts in it and they did not get along well with the performance transmission tuning. I feel your pain.
