supercharger or not?

So there saying doit but don't get on it as much? One guy said he went into 3 trans from 27k to 72k. IMO 240rwhp to 380 is more then what this car was built for

Just do it and have fun, if you beat the hell out of it at every light every day you will need to replace some things sooner than if you baby it but what fun is that.

Get the blower and have fun, I did and don't regret it for a second!

I put mine on at 84K miles and now have over 227K miles on the original engine....no leak and no oil consumption....runs GREAT!!:bows:

GO FER IT!!!:D

The cars are pretty stout, the engine and tranny's should handle up to 450 hp without problems if they're well maintained and driven with a little common sense. BTW, you can wreck a tranny with a N/A car if you constantly do forced downshifts (WOT) from OD to 2nd, the OD band is a weak link the the trans.

I tought that was Casey's job.

Yeah, but I help him out occasionally when he gets backlogged... ;)

there is so much that goes into play to what we all said. There are plenty of people out there running a blower for many miles without a single drivetrain problem.
Problem comes when you push it to the limit, I did several 11.6 passes with my car. Thats why I had to replace more things on my car then the average people.

The only time I had issues with my trans was on my 04 when I added Nitrous.

I think a blower is more gentle as the power comes on more evenly.

Have an oil and trans sample done. Inexpensive data that will tell you the condition of both.

Just make sure you know what fluid is in it and the mileage on it.

supercharger

thank you all for the feed back it help me alot. forget the needed underwear and socks if going for the supercharger

IIRC, Dom supercharged his MM at around that mileage. All told he did pretty well. Not sure how many miles he has on it now.

I am running a 125 wet shot on pump gas with tune on a stock 108k motor where the last 30k has been weekend drag racing and hard driving. I checked compression and check it weekly. No real difference. Good Compression means good to go.
