Around this time of year, the fall foilage will be starting to be at their peak at around this time of year, so accommodations in the area could be a little pricey and may be in short supply due to this area being very popular for its mountain scenery. I had already made hotel reservations at the same place as last year from October 5-7. Planning to do the reverse of last year's trip, this time driving through the Cherotala Skyway first & ending at the starting point of the Tail of the Dragon. Stay tuned for updates.

Sounds interesting. The only time I did this circuit was the Triumph R.A.T. event in the fall of 2003 - had a blast. By the fall of 2004, I was working 24/7/365 until a disability retirement last year. Looking for a change of pace - finally.

There was nothing but cool stuff all day long, cars, bikes, scenery. The only thing that wasn't cool was the $400 we lost at the casino the night before. Y'all come out and ride with us.
