Hey guys, i dont really like the mercury badge on the back of the trunk, how would i go about taking that off safely? thanks

Use a plastic squeegee (some have used a credit card) and gently work it under the badge. The badge is held on with 3M body tape. The removal process should take about 45 - 60 seconds. Note that their are two alignment pins on the badge at 3 and 9 o'clock. Just work around them. You will be left with two 1/8" holes where the pins align the badge on the trunk.

hrm... holes ay?? i dont know if i want that.. 1/8 is noticeable...what do you guys think?

yeah that looks good, but i want to black out the car. I just got the 20% tint done all around, next is smoking out the rear tail lights, and probably debadging, then the grill. Im just worried about having 2 holes. BUST.

Don't worry about the holes, just use duct tape to cover them up like Logan did on his pimpin' project car!

Just black out the badges. A few of us did it and I think it looks good if you're going for the "stealth" look. Any reputable body shop will do it for cheap (it's a special paint for that chromed plastic crepe)

It's kinda hard to see on this pic. People know there's a badge there but they just...quite...don't...aren't...really...Oh damn! It's gone. WTF was it?
