Vortech kits coming soon!!!!????

I know a few Marauder owners (like me) are in line... And working with Chris at ADTR in southern cal.

Chris is in process of fabricating parts needed to make reportedly 3 different Vortech kits:

1) a gentleman's kit--straight add, nice boost in power, safe n sane
2) mildly racy -- loads of fun
3) fire breather--hair on fire

As I live in CA, I am in line for two of the safe n sane kits (ok, maybe one Mildly racy).

I am told we are a month or so away!!!!!

I am not technically proficient enough to share more details, except to say Chris finally bought his Marauder (a blue)... And his is first!

I promised him if he'd build it, they would come.... For all of you out of country folks, A much better, safer place to do business.

As this becomes a reality-- all of you super smart knowledgable Marauder engine builders can advise me, us etc.

I am interested. I don't know what is involved in a Vortech but unless I find a trilogy I will need a solution. I am not too keen on the eaton swap due to relocating the battery.

Come to think of it, has anyone moved a battery to the trunk?

Myself , and quite a few other members have , glad i did.

What is considered as "fire breather"?

As I said, I am not the expert in this area (frozen commodities yes, engines no), so I am merely passing the data onward. Hope you guys with these skill sets can assist him.

As California smog issues prevent me from vented for and aft, and straight pipes/headers, etc... I must stay marginally stock, vs changing all pulleys and upping the boost, with a mixed-air Vortech flux capacitor... And 14lbs of twang... HA!

Chris quoted me some RRHP numbers, but I've learned not to speak past my limitations with this group (and all others). from what I heard, the "hair on fire kit" would be more than I would want (especially in a sedan/Marauder).

I also directed him to the big break kit/ adapters.

His email is chris@adtr.com, and he provides parts for the crown Vicsters nationally. He was at Sema, and knew of DRs Vortech Marauder kit. He had created the Vortech kits for Crown Vic's, and I've been begging him to make the kit for Marauders.

Let's give him a big WARM MM.NET member welcome for venturing into our world. I asked him to join etc, when he is ready, maybe he can become a seller/member since his one item doesn't really overlap with other vendors.

As I stated, he did just snag a blue MM recently. He sells parts/kits, and doesn't install them.

No it's not. They already do 2v 4.6 centri kits. The owner just picked a blue up not too long ago. Been watching the progression of the mods being done on Facebook.

ADTR is well-respected and well-known by us that go back to the origins of CVN, CVO, and other early Panther sites.

Yes, and as I said, in speaking with Chris repeatedly and over many months, he seems like a straight forward guy. Can't wait to see what he comes up with.

My experience with Chris/ADTR has been mostly positive. I would not say that he is my go to, but he is a very reputable vendor.

Will Vortech supply their CARB exemption sticker? Don't see why not as they paid the piper once, and mechanical bracketry are not emissions equipment.

After much discussion, I am told yes, the sticker is a part of the purchase.

As this is a kit, and not the installation, the onus to pass is on the installer, so passing smog is on the installer. Also only the more tame Gentlemen's kit is built to pass.

Seems fair to me. I am all in on two. Will advise.
