Well, slap my a$$ . . .

If it weren't for my horse...
Took the MM into the oil change place today. Got there later than I wanted to because I had to drop a TV off at a repair shop (or are TVs disposable nowadays?) Lo and behold, what do I see in the bay in front of me . . .

So anyway I go in and find the owner, Mike, a kid in his 20s. Told me he has always loved driving older cars and found this one partially restored. We chat for a while and really appreciate the chance to check out each other's rides.

Very Cool! I haven't seen an old one in real life in years, what years is it? What engine was in it?

That Merc. is a 1968. My dad had one years ago. Most had 390's in them

Best Regards,

David

Sounds like you had a lot more interesting of a day than I did. It's always nice to see old classic cars that are in good shape. I wonder what kind of gas mileage you get in a 68 Marauder with the 390?

Cool. Reminds me of the first car that I got to take to town and cruise in on Saturday night. I was in the eighth grade and took my mom's 68 Colony Park station wagon. It had the 390 4V, and was really fast. Probably the reason I still love station wagons today.
