Reading this thread, I feel like I'm in completely the wrong demographic for owning a Marauder

Seriously?
Post up what you listen to.
This is an open forum, I am always looking for NEW music, usually listening to Sirius XMU for my tastes.

Of course the Genesis I posted up recently was new when I bought it in 1970 something.

Two weeks ago I was at the Deftones in Miami, a month ago the Eels in Atl.
Next month Clutch in Lauderdale.
What demographic is that?

I'm listening to Stone Sour, the You Tube mix. Mostly a rock and roll guy...

I'm always looking for new music too. Its amazing sometimes what the local bands bring to the table!

I just like the way old music brings me back.

I have a CD set of songs that were popular in the early 50's before R&R was born. (I'd hear these songs all the time while sitting in the back of my dad's 48 Buick Super convertible.)

Perry Como, Doris Day, Les Paul/Mary Ford, Nat King Cole etc.

Now, I don't listen to these songs anyway near as much as I listen to my old R&R favorites, but every now and then, I throw them on, and those old memories come back.

That's what's so great about old music.

Preach!

I've really broadened my collection thanks to this thread!

Self proclaimed Builder Of Badassery.

Not new, 1978, the year I gradumacated high school but still relevant.
I heard a newer band (Local Natives) do a cover of this Friday live on Sirius XMU and I was compelled to dig this out of the archives.

There's good news for you.

I'm almost twice your age, and I'm still a car nut. So, you, too, can still be a car nut at age 70. (My dad was a car nut also. Genes?)

But, I do find that due to my "advanced years", I'm a lot more comfortable driving my 64 Galaxie and 2003 TBird than I would be driving a new Stingray.

But, I can wish.....

Now, for obvious reasons, I'm determined not to miss any Wildwood old car shows, unless the weather is really, really bad.

sweet! which song? Justin Hayward has such an incredible voice

sent from space

I picked up the new Justin Hayward album.

The more I listen, the more I like it, but there are some things to consider.

After a few, very good new songs, he does a remake of one of my Justin favorites, "Broken Dreams". OK, but the original is better.

Then, the last two songs are remakes of "I Know You're Out There Somewhere" done in a modern dance club style.

Doesn't sound like a Moodies tune at all, but, even with overdone electronics on the vocals, the song grows on you and has a great beat.

But, it is LONG.

Was listening to Hollywood Undead but now I am listening to the sweet sounds of my police radio and the fan in the office.......god I'm bored and just wanna go to bed....time for Louisville again yet???

Well, I listen to mostly hip hop. Not really stuff you'd hear on the radio much though. I like El-P, Sean Price, Action Bronson, A$AP Rocky, Ab Soul, Childish Gambino, MF Doom, Curren$y, Danny Brown, almost all 80s-90s era hip hop. Also instrumental stuff like Blue Sky Black Death, Clams Casino, Daft Punk, along with some older metal like Metallica, as well as Radiohead, Band of Horses, etc. Come to think of it, none of my car enthusiast friends like the music I like, for the most part :dunno:
