If you like the song "Danny Boy", it'll be hard to find a better version than this one.
This singer, who also died way too young, IMHO, had one of the best voices of the R&R era. Second only to Orbison.
He could sing rock, ballads, or even opera, if he wanted to.

Motorhead - Ace of Spades
No.
.......
I met him once. I asked him for a guitar pick and he told me to f-off.
So when he wasn't looking I stole all of his picks before his performance and gave them to his fans.
True story.
Was he on the crapper?
My God your taste is awesome.
Ever heard this Orbison song???

No, never heard this one. Must be very early Roy.
Rumour was that Elvis didn't want to follow Roy on stage when doing live rock shows in the early days. Couldn't match his voice, so the story goes.
Off subject, but I played Little League baseball with the drummer from the Rascals. He pitched, I played third. (I also graduated grammar school with his older sister.)
Here's an Elvis tune that's not the typical Elvis rock song, but it's one of my favorites from the era when his voice matured. Also has some great photos/videos.

That's really cool man. I saw a secret show of theirs a new years back in NYC right before the official reunion.
That video was kinda depressing, so here's another song Elvis is doing....

I have that song on my early Elvis CD set, but here's the first Elvis song that, as a young kid, made me take notice.
