What did you do to your car today?

Nothing you guys haven't already heard or done before, .....but this girl has been busy bringing the beast to life with a little more attitude.....Started restoration of my baby, pulled engine stats to find out how the stock motor was doing. Still really good, Pulled the top end off, and had the valve covers and timing chain cover powder coated, Swapped timing chains with new Ford Performance set up. Updated the throttle body, Removed the Exhaust headers and cats, time to order some new ones from Mo's!!!!. Yanked out the rear end and swapped in some 4:10's with a Marty Tune of Course, new brakes, rotors, and in search of some new tires... No Super Charger yet.......hahahahahah

Looks good Bill. I literally put an LED license plate reverse light similar to yours last night. Makes a world of difference. Now I can actually see behind me at night looking thru the 20% tint.

Not my car but......

Working on a members car.

Full interior and exterior LED upgrade, blend door actuator, BCM, EATC, LCM, fixing wiring under the hood, Big 3 upgrade and more!

AND here is that member SUPER GRATEFUL for what you are doing! You are the BOSS my friend! Thank you! There's no one who has done the things you have created/recreated for these amazing cars...you have taken modding to a whole 'nutha level!

80*, sunny and windy as a (bleep!)! The warm front moving in is pushing a LOT of air! But, at least I finally get to play! Got the fuel pressure gauge sender wiring run, just have to go get a fuse holder for 12v switched power and it’s done. Have to run trans temperature wiring yet, waiting for a day I can put car up on stands. All 3 lights are wired, just have to power them.

Finall after how many years??? l addressed the constant running fan. It dawned on me a few days ago the trans temp sensor might be the culprit. Sure enough trans connector pin 15 (trans temp 5V input) was obviously feeding back zero through pin 16 (signal return) to the PCM considering I don’t have a temp sensor. Well this was triggering the fan thinking the trans was running hot.

I first tried to just connect the two but the signal would go from 4.6 to 0 immediately and trigger the fan. Apparently the PCM doesn’t care for having its own signal being thrown back in its face. I’m not sure what the threshold is but lower the number equals the hotter the temps. Not having any resistors on hand I opted for a 3mm pre wired LED to bridge the two and it worked! [emoji16] That brought me right at 3.0 Now I’ve got a tiny blue LED glowing under the master cylinder and quiet car again. At least until I get around to ordering a 10K resistor. Hopefully within a couple of years? [emoji6][emoji1303]

Marauder oil & filter changed and last fuel pressure gauge hook up completed (had to order parts) - it works!

Next weekend trans temp gauge hook up and gauge A-pillar pod lights. Maybe if time the oil pressure and volt real gauge conversion too. If I really start ambition dreaming for next weekend, new stereo install too!

Took a small test drive down the driveway then backed her back into the garage. New diff works.

A lot of smoke however. Neighbor said it might be my tires.

Had the 4:10 gears installed with 2003/2004 Cobra clutch packs and Aluminum Diff cover, got notice exhaust has been shipped so when that comes it will be installed. Even with the 4:10's car needs a converter, from a stop takes a second to get into power band

Also forgot to mention got rid of them piece of crap capped lug nuts, every car I get seems to have them and I need to replace to solid, my 99 XJ Cherokee, My 2003 Lincoln LS when I had it both had them too.

Put battery in Ranger, 2 times thru car wash to remove winter gunk build up, new wipers. Took for nice drive round trip to car wash and gas fill. Think runs amazingly good (German engine)!

Oil and filter changed, inspection, filled tank and a run thru car wash to remove winter grime (the road dust flows through the garage so there's a 1/4" of dust on the cars that get parked all winter) so Impala is all set for summer cruisin'!

Gave the truck its second bath of the year and it’s first coat of wax in probably four years. Dusted off the car.
