What do you think of this BFG Tire story?

Sorry to report the replacement tire they sent me , was a "bad build" as well, "reverse" tread pattern of what it should be.

I have been too busy to call them and deal with it, i`ll again call
tomorrow ans see where it goes from here........

That sucks. I would do like the older lady in the Discount Tire comercial. Take the tire back and throw it through the shops window. You cannot do that unless you live near the Tire Rack warehouse.

Good One Cory, the truth is after speaking with many many different sales people there, it seems no one knows what it correct.....All I have to go by is the fact that this is my 3rd MM
and all of them had the zig zag tread pattern inside...

Someone I spoke to there yesterday said they thought that
BF may have reversed it......Just excuses really

Just got 4 BFG mounted yesterday. I think I have the same problem. As soon as I started to drive the car felt squirrely. Felt like the tires were way under pressure and the sidewalls were extremely flexible.

Will check pressure and tire orientation.

I'd have to call BS on that statement!
Whatever happens, find a new tire shop

The dots do not necessarily correspond to which side is out. I have gotten tires from several MFR's and sometimes the dots end up on the inside and you have to chalk mark the visible side so you can tell where the mark was

Hi, I'm new here and found this forum after I just had 4 new BF Goodrich's installed. I had ordered 2 front tires a year ago from Discountdirect.com for a very low price and let them sit in the garage until I needed them.

I then found rear tires about a week ago on ebay from Tirenet USA, 2 tires for the price of $259.00 for the pair, free shipping. You can go to e-bay and type in "2 New 245 55 18 BFGoodrich G-Force KDWS Tires Marauder" and it will bring them up, he still has some available.

Anyway, I received them on Monday. They still had most of the little nubs on the tread, not as many as the fronts I had in the garage, but the beads didn't look like they'd ever been mounted. I had all four put on Tuesday and made sure to have the "mount this side in" followed properly.

When I went to pick the car up at Discount tire, they showed me the rear treads were backward, edge straight on the INSIDE, curved on the OUTSIDE. I have driven it about 70 mph and haven't noticed any difference.

I did send an inquire into BF Goodrich and asked if this is a defect, design change or if it will cause any problems. This is the response I received;

So, I don't know if this will help anyone, but, I figured this may add to the discussion. Also, if I hadn't found these tires at this very low price, I would have purchased the rears from this place;

Well, checked my setup. All is fine as far as orientation is concerned.

I think the mechanic's air gauge is shot. Across 4 tires pressure was 29 thru 34. I made all 36. And topped up the spare!

Raise the rears to 40 and they'll last longer.
