What say you all?

I changed out all my plugs and still have a hesitation that was not there before the Granatelli downgrade.
It's become obvious to many members here (considering the e-mail and phone calls I have taken in the last 24 hours) that this investigation has not been concluded. I wish to continue it, and I will use my own Marauder to do so.

Rider90...I will buy your disappointing Granatelli coil pack connectors for 50 bucks, for the complete set. 8 connectors and 8 boots, you can keep the dielectric grease.

E-mail me at SergntMac@aol.com or call me at 312.401.1396, and we'll work out the details.

Since you don't like them, there is no sane need to take a hit in the pocketbook. 50 bucks is 50 bucks...eh? Better yet, show me an invoice and I'll cover any refund, and you're whole again.

With respexct to finding replacements for the OEM "springs", this thread has some prospects you can hit on for donations of OEM stuff.

a $50.00 bill cut up and wedged into my coil pack boots won't make the car run any better. I can't make any deal of any sorts until I have something to replace the Granatelli kit.

Oh, I get that. I understand. Once you are up and running, and everything is cool, reach out. No need for you to take the loss of this investment if it didn't work for you, and I am likewise not rushed.

Jason,

Take Mac up on his offer then go to your L/M dealer and purchase 8 new OEM connectors with the $50.00.

Instead of paying shipping to members all over the country that are willing to part with their stretched out ones?

Cut your losses if that is how you feel towards the Granatelli connectors.

Mike.

I did not know these were sold seperately, are you sure?

Probably the best summation on this mod.

However, I'm sitting here, reading a lot about these things lately. I've got a question-how many people have actually expirienced a failure or problem from the OEM connectors? Anyone?

I've had 3 of the OEM's fail. This is due to the water issue, not really a connector problem. I seem to have solved the problem with an extra preventitive maintainece step, i.e. re-seal the cover every 1 to 2 months.

Hey Mike - what's your problem? I did not know they were seperate, it will save me a lot of money if they are. When did I resist you? you asked if I checked certain areas and I did, I didn't know that was resistance - Are you really trying to help me or are you trying to make me look stupid as if I didn't check the most obvious areas under the hood?

Thanks but no thanks, glad these wires are working fine and dandy for you, they aren't for me.

That's a great idea and with all the time I spend cleaning under the hood I have added it to my things to do when cleaning. Thanks Paul

I had them installed on my '04 Marauder and '02 Continental and in each instance the vehicles run smoother and start quicker. So far so good.
