Your Marauder's Theme Song?

Doesn't seem like anyone would know this, but I'm a hip-hop fan. And I'll say "Spottieottiedopalicious", by Outkast.

For the non hip-hop, I'll say "Be Thankful" by William DeVaughan.

I love driving fast, but I also love cruisin :bandit:

I like Icarus - Borne on Wings of Steel by Kansas
Jonny Blade by black Sabbath
Getting Away with Murder by Papa Roach
Black Blade and Hot Rails to Hell by Blue Oyster Cult
Lowdown in the Street by ZZTop
Fuel by Metalica :burnout:

Wipe Out by The Surfaris

Nice! I'll second that. I'm in the oldies phase right now.

I'd say the official theme for the marauder right now is:

Beach Boys - I Get Around

Sometimes I'll replace it with
Bill Haley & His Comets - Rock Around the Clock
but then I'll just go right back to Beach Boys.

Run to the Hills - Iron Maiden

Flight of Icarus - ^^^

For Whom the Bell Tolls - Metallica

and some some shts and giggles Vacation - GoGo's

The most fitting song for the Mercury varies . . .

L.A. Woman - The Doors (late night drives)

Breathless - The Killer (Date Night with my wife)

Lean Woman Blues - T.Rex (Slow rides on New England Autumn Afternoons - All WINDOWS DOWN)

Whippin' Post - The Brothers (Exposing the kids to the finer points of good crusing tunes in a real piece of Classic American Iron)

And for those warm sunny Saturday Afternoons - Anything Elvis sang in 1956 . . .

Mac did you forget already?

If what you have heard as the "One O'Clock Jump" seems lame, well, it's been covered by many, many Big Bands over the years, it was a top ten hit back then. The copy/cover we have on our MM audio CD, is the Harry James Band, quite popular in the late '50s.

I can polka and I can slide. I can Chicago bus stop too. I know when to "put your left foot in and shake it all around", eh?

LOL..."A big bad biker dude dancing" to any music at all, inspires my imagination. Thanks for the chuckle!

It strikes me as funny as Billy Crystal playing the President (though some would suggest Bush is as funny), or, Al Sharpington as "The Terminator". Ouch! C'mon Al, watch the cattle prod, will ya!

Music...Is imagination. Disney knew this. It's what you make it to be. It can be any music at all, as long as it gets you up and out of your chair.

I've been a sidedrummer in a bagpipe band longer that I want to admit, and despite our Grade 2 National Champion status, I can't figure out what those pipers are playing, or, why. But, I can help them sound better, and I do, and this gets me out of my chair.

So does Harry James, when he directs a dozen trumpets, trombones and french horns in a 50 piece brass orchestra, to Jump at One O'Clock...Exactly.

When you listen to it, imagine trying to steer that 50 piece bus. Same ambitious sound you hear from Tower of Power, and early Chicago horn lines. Hang on, dude, lot's of air coming your way.

You got my e-mail, Blackened, your choice.

BTW, thers is an appropriate Beach Boys tune present on the CD, "Don't Worry, Baby". I wanted some Mama's and Papa's tunes too, but, alas...
I thought your favorite song was 'Kumbaya'?

For SergntMac.............

"Pistol Packin' Mama"

"Lay that pistol down babe"
"Lay that pistol down"
"Pistol packin' Mama"
"Lay that pistol down"..................................
:D :D :D

Kashmir- Led Zepplin
I can't drive 55- Haggar
Breaking the law- JP
You've got another thing coming- JP

Um yeah I'd say thats pretty sweet.

"One o'clock Boogie" is a great song.

Then again, I like to go swing dancing, so I'm biased.. it's a frikken rockin song to dance to. To feel the speed of that song, you have to have the ability to imagine throwing a girl around at that tempo... it's fast.

One thing about being able to dance to different styles of music.. it changes your perception of the music. I listen to stuff now that I would have dropped dead before listening to in high school.

I'm gonna second the Tower Of Power sentiment too. "Diggin on James Brown" is good cruisin music (great west coast swing too).

My ipod is stuffed with a really weird assortment. Everything from Count Bassie and Duke Ellington to Sam Cooke to Eric Clapton to Metallica and System of a Down to Kyle Minogue and Celine Dion(ok, one song off the French album.. i can't stand her when I understand the words).

Marauder Music

Got to include the following song considering the age of most of us:
The Anaheim, Azuza and Cucamonga Sewing Circle, Book Review and Timing Association-Jan & Dean. :banana2:

Black Sunshine and Black Thunder

I named the Merc Black Sunshine about a year before I found Black Thunder (the boats name when I found it).

I knew it was the right boat (300hp black merc pulling a 300hp black merc).

I know the song is about a mustang, but it fits well anyway:

Black Sunshine

Damn, mine changes practically every week (thank you Limewire;) )

I usually listen to different songs depending what I want to do.

Do I want to scare people?

Then its

Back in Black-ACDC
Smoke on the Water-Deep Purple
Secret Agent Man-Blues Traveler
Takin Care of Business-BTO
No Sugar Tonight-The Guess Who
The Seeker-The Who
I Dissapear-Metallica
Enter Sandman-Metallica

Or If I want to screw with peoples heads and have them look over with a WTF look on their Face.

Then it is

Mexican Radio-Wall of Voodoo
Call me, Beep me-Kim Possible Theme song (works the best):D
other songs related to Kim Possible;) I love screwing with peoples heads while I peel away :burnout:

How am I too young for Kim Possible tunes;)

Growing old is Mandatory, Growing up is Optional:D :D :burnout:

Besides, the look on their faces when a 20yo is blasting Call Me, Beep Me, In a black CV.

Its Priceless:lol:

Slow cruise down the boulevard I go with Cowboy by the Kid.
Drag strip (if they'd let me) Highway to Hell by ACDC.
Blasting down the highway, Flight of the Valkeries by Wagner.
Winding mountian roads, anything Ry Coder.

I'm surprised no one has suggested "Back In Black" by AC/DC, perfect for the reincarnation of the Marauder in 2003 after a 23 year absence. But for me, it would have to be "Beautiful And Blue" by the Iveys (1969) who would soon sign with Apple records and take Paul McCartney's suggestion to change their name to "Badfinger".

Top Songs That Get me To Pumped up and Raise my Speedometer needle Are...

Medusa- Anthrax
Slave to the Grind-Skid Row
The Four Horseman-Metallica
Battery-Metallica
CowBoys From Hell-Pantera
Kickstart my Heart-Motley Crue
Breaking the Law-Judist Priest
Crazy train-Ozzy
Balls to the Wall-Accept
I cant Drive 55-Sammy Hagar

The Theme song to my Car is "Ready, Steady,Go" by Paul Oakenfold cause it has a Hard Driving Rhythm, A Fast Tempo, and it just Seems to sound so much better driving while listening to it...
