351W stroker or Gen 3 Coyote?

I bought the Magnum 6 speed and QuikTime bellhousing back in the early Spring.

I had blown up the OEM T-5 way back when ...lol (guessing late 80s)
I put Hoosier drag tires on it for the track....First run on the stickies....she was hookin' & bookin'..... and when I snagged 3rd gear the T5 blew up....bang!
Weird thing was that I still had 5th gear! I drove all the way home from the track in 5th gear, with metal gear pieces pinging and banging around inside the transmission....:eek:
Bought a Ford Motorsports HD T-5 to replace it, but I know that it wouldn't last long behind a built 363.

Holy COVID delays Batman!!!

The DART 8.2" SHP Small Block Ford castings have a minimum 16 - 22 week lead time on them!!

They are cast and machined in the good 'ole USA (Michigan)

They tell me that I won't get my block until early next year!!.....maybe!

Also waiting on AFR Renegade 195 SBF heads....I should have them by the end of this year.

The Edelbrock RPM AirGap Intake manifold is also on backorder because Edelbrock shut down their casting facility in California* and moved it to Mississippi.
I don't have ANY idea when they will start to produce aluminum intake manifolds from their new facility!

*The Communist State of California finally figured out how to force one of their best employers OUT of the State....Great Job Nancy!!!

I think you'll be very happy going SBF over a coyote. Everything will be easier. I made almost 400rwtq on my bolt on Gen 1 L.
 
Hell no. That would all be cancelled orders on my end! There is always a better route to achieve an even higher goal, it’s just not always easily found and usually costs a bit more..

Ls = no need for aftermarket blocks, cranks, rods, heads, rocker arms, lifters.........and go 9's in the 1/4 on motor with pump gas...

I have a dry sump Ls7 long block for sale.......I could cut the crank here at Roush so you can go wet sump.... ; )

Update:
I'm waiting on the DART 8.2" block and the Edelbrock RPM AirGap intake manifold.
My engine builder says that LOTS of parts are on SERIOUS long lead time/backorder right now.
Even Chevy SB parts are on backorder....lol
January looks like the delivery time for most of the backordered parts.
I just ordered the 5 lug rims and the Holley Sniper Stealth EFI for the car.

It took 5 weeks to get an American made forged rotating assembly from Manley. it's scheduled to deliver on Monday.
 
Joe, if you can, get the sniper with the remote ECM. Think its the terminator series. It seems the fords have RFI problems because the computer is near the dizzy.

But who knows could be careless installs.
 
I'd heard that the FiTech systems can have problems with Ignition noise/RFI...nothing about the Holley Sniper systems.
I'll have to carefully route the ignition wires as far away from the ECM as possible and maybe even shield the ECM form the distributor.
 
If you are on facebook, there is a group and you can read all the horror stories. Lol. I have the super sniper for my V6 build so we'll see how it goes.
