Silly Trailblazer SS

They should have just given us the Lightnings motor (supercharged 5.4L). It would have made sense seeing as the Lightning was ending its run at around the time the Marauder came up.

From what I understand, it likely would not have fit without some modifications to the hood. Luckily, you guys do have Trilogy to help make up for this shortfall. I'm also not sure if you guys would have been able to even get any traction with the Lightning motor.

Of course, I remember that one of the reasons why Ford didn't go with even a 5.4 at the time was it not fitting, but also because Ford didn't want the Marauder to get hit with a gas guzzler tax. Ain't CAFE a *****? Get used to it though, because it is very likely that many of us will be forced into buying tin cans we don't want to drive by 2020. This is why i'm making sure to take care of my TBSS as best I can, and you guys should take care of your Marauders as best you can. When these social fascists prevail, at least we'll have our cool cars as we drive by them and give them the finger.

Hey and fi do? Atleast i beat one lol you guys are just mad your butt buddy got his ass handed to him  and got caught sleeping.

Are you interested in racing a local TBSS? Put some $ behind your mouth.

My mods,

Lidio's tune
Stainless Works Longtubes
Full custom exhaust
PI3000
4.10s
CAI
Drag Radials

13.60's @ 100 + every time. I did my homework.

Thats it. I never wasted my money on stuff that doesn't make you go fast. You know, like stat, plugs, cop's, pullies, spacers, etc.

Those little non-functional bolt-on's put me into the same 1/4 mile times as you with street tires and stock exhaust.

If I was to add header's, a full exhaust with drag radial's, those "non working mods" would no doubt give me consistant 13.3-13.5's all day in all temp's, Maybe even a 13.0 in the cold.

As for a TBSS vs MM. You have a stronger starting point in the TBSS. They are running a 13.9-14.0 bone stock compared to the dismal 14.9-15.5 the Marauder run's stock. It wouldn't take half as many mod's to make a TBSS as fast as even a S/Ced Marauder.

I never raced one, but Im pretty secure in saying that it will be a good race with my car and a lightly modded TBSS.

I'll back you up DTR only because you are a fellow Marauder owner. I also like to bet on the long shot as well. :D

thanks finally someone. I sent him a PM we will see what happens

We have in excess of 3500 members on our Forums. I am sure we have a Trailblazer SS in your area that would have comparable mods to yours what ever they may be and would be willing to run. I have $100 that says I know the outcome.

No offense, but that is not a fair race. A TBSS is obviosly faster than a Marauder in stock form. So it's no secret that a TBSS with some mods vs a Marauder with "comparable" mods would win. Miguel, race for the fun of it, but dont waste your money. A race that's a bit more fair would be a Marauder with a tune and gears vs a stock TBSS.

Damn this has to be the longest kill thread ever! All because mikey smoked a TBSS! Maybe i need to start targeting the BOWTIE boys and leave the hemis alone (they were becoming boring anyway).

And I'll focus on fords. Do Hemi's even matter?

There is no way you'll run a 13.0 N/A adding exhaust and drag radials...especially if they're widened wheels like I have. Cruztaker had everything under the sun, way more than you, and still only managed a best of 13.2...which is still the fastest N/A Marauder (stock engine) time ever as far as I know...not to mention he weighs maybe 140lbs. Also...don't forget...my drag radials on my currently N/A Marauder aren't for track times! They're for my upcoming supercharger installation. Ive had them since 2004 because I loved the way they looked, and since before most people around here have even had their Marauder. If anything...my drag radials take off time right now. At least a tenth or two.

The only thing of those non functional mods that's worth anything IMO are the pullies.

Stat, plugs, cops, water pumps...etc, etc...no matter what you say...are still just a waste of money to me.
