Lpg

One of the reasons I don't post on public forums anymore, and will probably stop again with this post, are people like this. This message board in base in the US. We speak ENGLISH, yet you post a link to something german. Nice. Also, you could just freaking answer the question, but no, you...

    Lpg

CNG is Compressed Natural Gas. In the US CNG is as low as 67 cents a gallon in Utah and as high as about $2.25 a gallon in the California. It's a much greener fuel than LPG is. I bet if you include cost of tanks and everything, I would be really surprised if he has less than 6k into it. A...

    Lpg

I know I have not posted in a while but with this post I think it's necessary. Let me give you some background first. My wife and I (we got married about 4 months ago) work a lot in the alternate fuel industry. I am the technology behind several companies that offer CNG and LPG conversions...

Surging at idle and driving and stalling

If your issue has been solved can you tell me what the ISC KAM's are at sea level and at altitude? Can you tell me that actual and desired RPM track right on top of each other during a startup across the temperature range? You did not fix your problem, someone changed something in the software...

Surging at idle and driving and stalling

The Mustang (GT or V6) use the same MAF. It's called a 'slotted" MAF by the way it slides in. It's not in a housing like the older MAF's so it's not that hard to relocate. j

Surging at idle and driving and stalling

There is nothing simple about relocating the MAF, but in a nut shell yes. Ford has some very complicated software to compensate for how far the MAF is from the engine and things like that. GM also uses a MAP sensor for transient control of fuel as well. The Marauder has a MAP sensor, but I'm...

Surging at idle and driving and stalling

I don't expect their to ever be a hobbiest level. The idea of EFITO is to keep the rif-raf (like SCT) out and have an information exchange on a mature level, and so far it works very well. Everyone has a great respect for each other and I think eveyone is benefiting. You have LS2 MAF's on...

Surging at idle and driving and stalling

Go put a pressure gauge about 6" from the throttle body and tell me how much pressure is in the tube when you are curising down the road. Now the flow through the IAC valve has changed because you have pressure in the tube on one side of the throttle body and vacuum on the other. The flow...

Surging at idle and driving and stalling

Depending on some things you may or may not need a MAFia, it depends on the amount of air flowing through the engine and the diameter of the tube where the 05 Mustang MAF is put in. But you HAVE to use a 2005 Mustang MAF to do this. j

    Transmission Tales and Travails

The bottom line is that they snap ring could not have been seated when the transmission was built at the Livonia Plant. That snap ring CANNOT come off like the intermediate one way clutch snap can. Centrifigual force pushes the snap ring into the goove, not out like the IOWC. I have seen more...

Surging at idle and driving and stalling

Let me change the direction of this thread a bit.... Many if not all of the centrifigual blowers have issues like this. When the dust settles I have NEVER seen a bypass big enough to satisfy my multiple engineering degree mind. If you put a pressure sensor in the tube between the bypass and...

    tranny over heating

First off if you have a trans failure you really need to replace the trans cooler. The trans cooler has a thermostat built into and it's very hard to flush the lines. The dealers can get a high dollar machine that runs heated fluid through the trans cooler to clear it out, but it's still not...

    Help with codes

You are part right and part wrong. First off the baro sensor in the Marauder is not really a baro sensor, it's part of the EGR system. It's output is NOT frequency, it's a voltage. Also, a low baro reading will NOT in any way, shape or form lean the engine out. This is a mass air system, it...

My thoughts about Dennis and what not....

Actually, When I was at Ford we put Eaton M-90's on a few 1993 Mark 8's around 1994 or 1995.....Remember, I'm the engineer, we are all about the details. See you tomorrow.... j

    Boost-a-Pump alternative?

I agree. I know the guys at KenneBell pretty well and they test those products very well. It is a proven piece, their failure rate is almost nothing. My personal feelings are don't mess with something that works.... j
