Big Brakes on a not-so-big Budget? YEP

Curious, do you guys that already have the big brake upgrade with braided lines have a better pedal feel than before? I've spent a considerable amount of time and effort to get my brake pedal to feel right and so far nothing... its a sponge compared to before the install. I've bled, re bled, computer bled, replaced the master cylinder, on and on... the pedal feels like crap...

But has the stopping power increased noticeably? What is this upgrade like?

I had a slight change in pedal feel, nothing to write home about though. But even though the pedal isn't great, my EBC brakes still bite hard enough to chuck me through the windshield. I've never driven a Panther that didn't have a weak pedal.

The brake pads will need to be broken in if not already, until then the pedal will be softer than normal. Pad compound will also make a significant difference, one of my favorite pads for a daily driver in the posi-quiet ceramic which has exceptional stopping ability, and low dust/noise, does so with some compression, resulting in a softer/longer travel feel, compare that to the aggressive semi-metallic's used on police cars, which are noisey and dusty, but have excellent heat resistance and little compression and a high-hard very bite-ing pedal.

Could I please have the year for the rotors? I'm in Canada, so the core charge with shipping makes this all a no go. I'll source it out locally.

Thanks, got the brackets so I'm almost ready to go!!

2012 (not sure what years we’re yhe same but that’s what I used)

Here is my original review of the upgrade from 2015:

Although the car is in winter storage right now, I can say that I'm still happy with this upgrade. Car stops on a dime, pedal feel still feels great. The only nitpick I have with it is I have a pretty bad squeal when the brakes are cold. Sounds like a stuck pig. Once they warm up the squeal goes away. This probably has more to do with the parts I've chosen, not the upgrade. The upgrade I feel is worth it. I haven't diagnosed the issue yet, I have other pressing matters to deal with once spring shows up.

Nice review and photos! I'll stick with the harder pads, it's only my DD from May until the September rains start.

The 2012 GT500 rotors come slotted?

The 2012 GT500 rotors come slotted?
Look on the last page of this thread; I posted part numbers and pictures of Raybestos offerings.

GT500 Front: 680497PER
Marauder Rear: 680129PER

There are many different slotted or slotted/drilled rotors. Go on RockAuto and look around.

I just installed these a few weeks ago. At first they were mushy but stiffened up after taking it in for a brake fluid flush. Did anyone else have to grind down the factory brackets on the corners to let the adapters sit flush? other than that very pleased with the upgrade. Simple fun and Funny to see peoples expressions with the corvette logos lol!

I had to do it the right way, couldn't let it say "Corvette".

CNC Machined off the Corvette and etched in the Marauder.

Cost? I'm just going to look on the web for a CNC machine shop and don't want to get hosed. I've NO clue as to what this would be a fair price to do.

Thanks!
