Big Brakes on a not-so-big Budget? YEP

Once the bracket thing was sorted out (thanks again jerry) everything went on fine:

Look at those wheel weights just make it!
Dust shield was left on the back. No problems there.
Everything was well thought out, well engineered and the clearances for everything is perfect. Thanks for the hard work guys!

On a scale of Enterprise to Next Gen I give this mod a solid Picard.

I tried weighing everything going on and off. These are rough numbers of me just standing on a scale holding the part:

The stock calipers with pads and SS lines: 35 pounds
Stock rotors: 40 pounds

this kit:
pads: 4.7
brackets: 3.2
calipers: 16
rotors: 50
lines: forgot. my bad.

so the kit is 235.25 vs the stock 232.2. Heavier rotors offset by the aluminum calipers. Ymmv, it wasn't exactly a scientific test

Are those 17" wheels?

Damn. No way they'll fit 17s. I guess I'm on my own hunt to find calipers that have race pads available that fit 17s.

...or buy a set of 18s on Craigslist, I mean Mustang wheels are dirt cheap anymore...

I just scored Jolly Roger's old, non-engraved Vette calipers. I guess I should put rotors, pads, lines, and brackets on my Christmas list...

Was not sure if the PM I sent you went thought being I am brand new to the forum. I sent an email to you on the Yahoo address tied to the PayPal account inquiring if I could buy a set being I was not a member of the forum but I was not sure if you checked it or not. I don't own a Marauder or a CV but I am starting to build a boosted Coyote '70 F100 that I am putting a CV IFS under and really want this brake setup.

Anyhow, if I can get in on the buy let me know and I will PayPal the $165.

Sounds sweet! Do you have a build thread going on another forum?

I will get a thread going on this forum with what I do with the CV suspension when I get to that part of the build.

I have an '83 T-Bird that is far from stock so that is why I hang out on that forum. I get out on www.fordification.com as well but have not really started a thread on there as this build is going to take me a couple of years. Have one at OU with about 2-1/2 more years so she is my priority right now.

Back to the regular programming on this thread. Jerry PM'd me and I plunked the $$$ for a set of adapters so I am really stoked about doing the brakes!!

Mine is done. Super easy to install, the brackets and brake lines are nice!
