Englishtown Cruise Nights

Cool! :coolman:

Mr Man, up until now, we were just arriving when we could but I don't see why we couldn't try to designate a prior meeting area (the Mrs might like to know that, of the 3 MM's we had in July, 2 were SB's!!).

He says it's free on the 1st post... "Cruise Night Come hang out at Raceway Park on this Tuesday Cruise Night! FREE Entry, and a FREE pass down the famous quarter-mile dragstrip for those with street-muffled vehicles. Burnout contest, live music, great food, beer and more!"

Well free is always better:)

Thanks for the info:)

I tend to click on the little blue box to read the lastest post, instead of starting in the beginning.

...and 1 was SUPER-clean. I believe it had 24k miles. His engine bay was much cleaner than mine......and I have a brand new engine!!

The event is free to enter. Gates open at 5pm and it ends promptly at 9pm. The last 45mins-hour is dedicated to a burn-out contest. There is food and drinks available including a beer garden.

It's more of a gathering than a formal car show. There are very few info boards and displays. No judging or trophies. It's really more of an event for car folks to hang-out.

All cars are welcomed...yes that includes imports, and they usually show in good numbers. Generally they stay on 1 end of the lot and the US cars, new and old, are on the other end. Lots of Mustangs/Camaros but there's usually a good mix of cars.

The free 1/4 mile pass is open to absolutely anyone BUT, because of prep for a monster-truck event next Wednesday, they're only having 1/8 mile passes next week :(

Early weather reports look good for next Tuesday. Last month was really hot and that kept overall attendance down. But I did get to meet 2 new faces for names I see here.....and that was :coolman:

Looks like the weather is gonna screw us this week. Was supposed to be possible passing storms on Sunday has turned into 6 days of rain.
We'll see what happens.....

Figures.

I'm heading to Wildwood this Monday thru Fri.

Hopefully, the late September boardwalk classic car show will get better cooperation from the weather Gods.

I'll take lot's of pics.

hi doug. this is tom .Our grandson is visiting us, he might like to go, not sure. I had a good time at the last show. The weather may not be good either. It would be great to see more mm there. thanks for praising my mm. Will try to make it. tom

Rain falling as of now so looks like it a washout for me.

Maybe next week.

That's cool BigDog. WhatsUpDOHC already bailed (he had a long ride too). There's a good chance of storms later today so I'd imagine it will be cancelled. As of now it's still on and I expect to head down there....but it's only a 15 minute drive for me.

** The next (and last) Cruise Night of the season is scheduled for Tuesday, 9/13.**

I will post a reminder as it draws closer and I will send out my barrage of PM's. With the amount of members we have in the area, we should be able to get at least 10 cars down there (MM's or not)!

In case anyone was still thinking of coming tonight, the cruise night has officially been cancelled. If they reschedule, I'll post it up. Otherwise, there's always next month.

I was going to come, but at 3 it was raining in bethlehem, pa and i didnt want to drive almost 2 hours to find out it was cancelled. Please keep me posted if they reschedule.
