In Memoriam: Marauderboi

My condolences to the family, close friends and the Marauder community at large. The details of this unfortunate event have sunk in but remain unsettling...so very tragic.

Be well,
Jonathan

So it is here as well~
Just so it is clear, from 11:00am to 1:00pm is visitation. The funeral service begins at 1:00pm.
There will be a Mercy Dinner at the Vachon house directly following the service.

The family really appreciates this outpouring of mercy and your kind comments here on the forum during this most horrific of times - Thank you all!

I remember Alex, from MV IV this young cat running around like a kid in a candy admiring all the cars. The joy he felt sitting in Dennis's car after his hard work. I think he enjoyed it more than we ever will, it was heart warming to see so much enthusiasum.

Still have the DVD he and Dave worked so deligently to put together.

Alex, gone to soon!!!
Fill the parking lot with Marauders and the sound of thunder, to send him home in style. God speed young man.

My condolences to the family

The one on the left in my sig was going to be his we just got done rebuilding the engine and had some minor other issues to iron out and then we were going to sell the vic.

Wow, I can't help but cry. I'm speechless. I'm deeply sorry for your lost. Your family is in my prayers. God Bless.

It's unfortunate the Panther Pathform couldn't save this one.

I just logged on to mm.net after being away for 4 days and I really do not know what to type.

My prayers will be offered for the Family and friends. I never got the chance to this fine young man.

A young man gone! So sad. God Bless All!

I sent a nice floral arrangement this morning so that Gordon and I along with the rest of the Capital Area Marauders will also be there in spirit.

To Dave and Abby and Summer:

I just want to say that I thank God I had the privilege to meet and get to know Alex and share so many happy moments with him, He was a young man I would have been proud to have as a son.

I will pray that God grants you the strength and peace that you need at this moment. May God bless you in this time of need.

Javier.

No words can express my feelings for your loss of your son.

After bouncing my Marauder off the wall at speeds over a hundred miles per hour I truly understand his last moments. I was lucky and got to see my family again and return to a normal life. At 19 years old it just doesn't seem right. Wow, we need to be thankful for every sunrise. :bigcry:

Service

The service was beautiful. All the flowers were lined along the front in and amongst his belongings (most of them Marauder stuff). The family was celebrating his life. David said part of what gave him strength were the words written here. The pastor gave a warm and factual eulogy and quoted words and phrases written by you right here in this thread.

The hall, ante-room and lobby were filled with those Alex had touched. The pastor opened the floor and many spoke fondly and lovingly of Alex.

RIP, my young friend. We'll see you at the big car meet in the sky...

Just got back home from the Funeral service for Alex. It was a beautiful service & the place was packed wall too wall with everyone who Loved him. The Flowers everyone sent were really nice . Their was a table full of the Different Marauder stuff layed out with & 2 different Marauder posters that Alex Loved. Two picture boards were set up one of Alex's life & another of the Marauders Alex so Loved. After the first 2 hours the Pastor spoke to everyone about Alex's Live and all he Loved. The Pastor Spoke of the Marauder site he visited and read off some of the Loving messages everyone sent to the Family & Alex. Afterward everyone had a chance to speak about how they felt about Alex. Magindat spoke and had many people in tears speaking about Alex and all who Loved him. I also spoke a few words about what the Pastor spoke of, his Friends on the Marauder site and how much he was loved & respected all over the Country & on a personal note. It was a very sad day & We all have lost some one Very Special . May God Bless Alex & all who Love him.

needed to add...

David said to me - between his tears - that the outpouring of love and support right here on this thread gave him strength. Just thought I should share that...

:bows:

I'll second what Magindat and Cobra said. As tragic as an event this was the funeral service was second to none. It was nice seeing all you guys again even under the circumstances and like what Magindat said, may we all meet in that big carshow in the after life.

It's wonderful that so many of you could be there today in support of Alex's family as they celebrated his life. It's good to know that this Marauder community was able to be of some comfort to them in this dark hour. I hope they can continue to draw strengh from all of us in the days and months to come. Alex and his family and friends are in our daily prayers.

I can't even begin to thank the SSM crew that could make the funeral for their support! You guys that drove across the state are "Off-the-Chart"! I know the family loved to see you all. Unfortunately, the A/C in the mortuary was over-taxed by the sheer volume of people. John N., StevenJ, Rob, Rich & Jamie, Zoltan, Eddie, Landy & Liz, Chris, Dave Mc (who cut his vacation short by three days to come) and Phil & Kathy all made for a strong showing of support. This is the cream of the SSM crop that would drop everything and be there for your friends. God bless you all!

Both Rich and Zoltan said some very nice words in the celebration of Alex's life. The floral arrangements from MercuryMarauder. net, Alamo Area Marauders, Capital Area Marauders, The Carolina Marauders and The Sunshine State Marauders were all beautiful. The displays his friends, coworkers and neighbor kids put together were fabulous. I have some pictures and will post them tomorrow after I go through them. Summer absolutely loved the stuffed-animal Black Panther Rich gave her!

Thank-you, thank-you, thank-you ALL!
