Kenne Bell Ordered!

Cool. Obviously you will have an 100 octane race tune to prevent detonation. Do you anticipate any problems running 93 octane for the street with that amount of boost and compression? Just picking your brain.;)

The car will run on pump gas on the street.
With this setup, the car should run mid 11's on PUMP GAS. Easily.

Missed this thread while I was in Maine.
Chuck, you were that close and you didn't stop down the Cape for a bowl of chowdah with Mary and me? Fine. BE that way... :P

Zack, thanks for the previous response. Would you mind commenting about this: how much boost would you run on a stock motor if you were limited to 91 octane, and with only a Cobra type intercooler rather than the 3 heat exchangers?

I ask because 91 octane is the highest readily available in my area, it is 45 mi. in an inconvenient direction to the nearest 93 octane, same for 101 race gas.

If I did attempt a K-B install, if instructions & photos were available, i might include the coolers such as you have. Though my mechanical experience is strictly amateur and limited, with enough instruction etc. i may feel comfortable doing the 3 cooler thing, but i don't want to cut up or weld on the car if that is involved, just reversible bolt on stuff. Thanks again.

I have 2 heat exchangers on my car.
A stock motor with 91 should run 10lbs of boost.

Anyway, Kenne Bell hasnt even charged my credit card yet! :bigcry: :bigcry:
Hope they didnt forget about me.

It just shipped out of California this morning     :pimp: :rasta:

Cool. Are you just running an intercooler w/ two heat exchangers? Water/Air? Any meth-injection?

Wahoo!

Keep us updated!
Gonna tune it yourself or give Tim a shot at it?

Its going to Tim, no doubt.
Unfortunately, I dont have a motor in the car yet to bolt it to. Very soon though.
The specs will be:
Iron Block, CP Pistons, 10:1 Compression, 5.0 Stroker Kit. Stock Heads with blower cams and good springs. 3500 Stall converter, 4:10 Gears. 18lbs of boost. :bandit:

That sounds seriously baddazz:beer:

Couple of questions...

Will Macs car retain the stock engine?
Are you bringing a new S/C kit to market?

Inquiring minds want to know :D

Yes, Macs car will have the stock engine.

Am I brining a new S/C to the market? No, its Kenne Bells S/C. Anyone can pick up the phone and buy one.

Stock engine, with 80K+ miles on the clock to boot.

Conservative boost with an improved intercooler and a safe tune...425 RWHP, 400 RWTQ?
