Officially a Dark Blue Pearl Marauder Owner................

8UWITH6

Keepin' the Shiny Side Up
Some of you have followed my "want to buy" topic in the appropriate forum for the last few months. My ups, my downs, and down right frustration. Well, I found a car and was able to bring it home. I went against my own rule and bought this car sight unseen. And I must say except for one hopefully fixable repair, it may have paid off. Through a very good friend of mine locally I was able to score a 30K mile DBP Marauder from the East Coast. I wont get into details but the car was in an auction that I had access too. I won the auction and had to pay auction fees and the shipping fees. And let me say that the car should have been here last week but the vehicle shipping industry is a joke. (Not going any further into detail on that subject). After all of that, the car finally showed up on Monday November 19th after buying the car on November 6th. The trucking company proceeded to drag the rear bumper of the car and the exhaust tips off the truck scraping and damaging it. (Taking this up with them). It looks like with a wetsand a polish, maybe some small spot touch up painting that this car should be "presentable" by my standards. Lots of marks and scratches. Very odd.

However, the positive things are the interior is essentially spotless. There are a few small blemishes otherwise beautiful. The engine bay is relatively clean and the car runs and drives like a dream. Wheels are in good shape, tires are fairly new, etc. I put it on the lift today to change the oil and the underside is in super condition. I couldnt be happier honestly. I just hope when I drop it off at the local body shop next week that they can make this really cool car shine like it deserves too. I have owned a few cars in my life and I have never driven such a comfortable, responsive, and firm performance sedan. I cannot wait to start modifying it. I hate the transmission shift schedule :shake:

Here are some pics of my DBP 03 300B Marauder............... love it guys, just love it. Such a great road car............. Wish me luck on the paint...........

From one DPB to another, CONGRATS!

DTR + 4.10's + Eaton swap = Wreeeeeeeeeeeeeeedom

Lookin good! :coolman:

:congrats:

And I like that front tag! I have the same on my car!

Congrats! That car looks damn good. Were they budget car movers? Did you notice any other nice cars on the truck? I think some of the companys just deal with cheap POS or dealer cars and don't really car what happens with them. They may be cheaper but won't always be the best choice to transport a nice car

Nice
Welcome to the madness!
If I were to buy another MM it would have to be a Blue
I would caution wet sanding, at least without a paint thickness gauge
Our clear coat is pretty soft and most stuff can de worked out with a polisher.
My car looked rough when I bought it. Now most people ask when I painted it.

nice ride, enjoy it,they are some of the best hiway cars ford ever made,i should know 10,000 miles in four months ive owned mine.

As an owner of a Blue and proud member of the Marauder Blues Brothers I welcome you. The Blues Brothers hold our annual meet in Louisville every April and allow about 30-40 other Marauder owners to join in.
You have a rare Marauder there as it is the lowest production color.
When the mod bug hits, there are many great advice areas on this site for where to start.
J mod and a tune will help the trans shift schedule, gears and headers can give you a real nice upgrade of the line and boost will keep you smiling until the day you die.

Welcome

great selection..........and one of the rare ones for sure---with the dark charcoal inside---not many of those in Blue---------------

Looks great!!, Glad you finally got her home, even with a small bump and bruise. Scrape can be fixed with a little prep and paint/clear..I think it will need some base coat and not just clearcoat and while your at it, you should do the bumper sag fix as I see it is just starting to sag. (mine did too after purchasing) Hopefully the car carrier will come thru and make it right, but still a nice purchase fo sho!

Ooooooh a Blue MM. Very nice.

Too bad about the rear valance. :( What dufuses. Post the name of that dipshit company to save the rest of us some heartache later.
