Sea Foam Intake Treatment 03 Marauder

I have a 11 yr relationship with my car and I and I am an ole farm boy that was raised on the YOU TAKE CARE OF YOUR STUFF AND IT WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU frame of mind. My car gets spoiled and I know it inside and out.

Are you speaking of a Marauder or something else sir??

Are you guys saying carbon build up is a myth and won't cause a noticeable performance difference? Because my Motorcycle for example requires a valve clearance adjustment every 20k miles or so, and I never did it until I hit 34k. Half of the valves were out of whack and after adjustment, there was a significant increase in low end throttle response(likely more noticeable on a small motor). I'd imagine carbon build up would also screw up clearances thus negatively affecting performance.

Wow, Sea Foam is worth a tenth, so if I use 10 cans I'll get one whole second!

Yeah......that makes sense.

Not my circus, not my monkeys.

Tell you what,...take two unmodified Marauders w/similar mileage that have never had their intake or throttle body cleaned or intake seafoamed. Clean the throttle body and run seafoam through the intake on one and don't touch the other car. Run each cars 0-60 and 1/4 mile twice, run the treated car before and after seafoam and I bet it's improve will improve whereas the untreated car will not. Yeah Vorty 347,...I have a coyote in sweet little mustang coupe. If your are ever out on the east coast bring what you got and we can line em up. You'd be amazed how quick it is!!! What is this romper room or something? Lol

Line em up? Since when did talking about the validity of a snake oil product turn into a "check out my weenie" Just because you put a crate motor in a fox (like 600000 other people have done) doesn't mean you know all.

I used a bore scope, before and after. NADA....ZERO difference.

You could line up two cars next to each other both off the showroom and one would be faster.

I never ever said that I know all,...what I am saying is that my car runs better and idles smoother. You, Vortech347 are being very arrogant in saying that the process is a waste of time and money ; the mere accusation that I am imagining the better acceleration and performance reinforces my belief that your are in fact an over overly opinionated want to be know it all. I have done a visual inspection of a 5.0 F/I Edelbrock Intake, the amount of varnish and gunk removed was significant!!! I will trust my own eyes and seat of the pants feel over your bore scope any day of the week.It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that a car with a clean t/b and intake will have a zippier feel to it. SORRY IF I MADE YOUR WEENIE FEEL SMALL BY MENTIONING MY OTHER CAR,...I kinda used to that though,...I am a bro you know!!! As far as my stang,...it way more than a crate engine in a car. Alot of people have done it,...but not alot are as quick as mine,...ie suspension, tune, driving.

fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

Pass on that,...some of you guys have alot of balls sitting in your mammas basement behind the computer screen. What you type on the computer, you wouldn't dare walk up to someone and say it to there face. It's really quite comical actually.

I would. :D

Hmm, interesting....Hey 347....do you use Bg products or anything like them at your shop? We do, as you are supposed to according to many manufacturers...Saturn was one of the first ones we could prove that the "snake oil" worked on. We use a NAPA product here to clean out injectors and fuel systems with huge results (try late 90's / early 2000's 3.1 GM injector issues)...your bore scope may have shown nothing on the tops of the pistons but what about the injector tips? How about behind the valve? You can't see this area with a bore scope...I know because we have one. You can def feel the idle difference in a car that has say 75,000 miles on it, fresh tune and an intake / fuel system cleanse done to it. I agree that it more than likely did not make his car run a tenth faster but smoothness and response would be improved.

Gotta be honest, you also hate Aeromotive fuel pumps (you have stated this many times on here) and we have used them for years with NO issue at all. All of these situations are strictly opinions though on all sides, getting into a pissing match is pretty stupid...guess what...thats my opinion as well...so...

This is almost as ridiculous as the old "oil threads"!!:shake:

Do what I do every fill-up and no other treatments are needed!!:D

Bye y'all......have fun bickering!!:argue:

Just think, how could a million people be wrong? Seafoam does do something, no doubt. Snake oils are products meant to do something, but dont meet up to the claims. Black machine never said its an 'engine fix in a can', he simply stated that he could feel a difference, like millions of others.

After i eat ice cream, mud butt follows. It might not for you, but i feel the difference.:p

I never ever intended on creating such a fire storm,...I simply wanted to share a positive exp that I received from using this product. If it doesn't work for,...then that is just the way it is. At the end of the day,...we are FORD GUYS that have a passion for our Marauders. I have learned some very helpful tips on this website in these forums. I am simply trying help provide some hopefully helpful useful info to anyone who may be in need of some.

Typo,...meant if it doesn't work for all, then that just the way it is. I am a straight shooter and I would never try to pull the wool over a fellow enthusiast eyes.
