I have been told that 03 300As can run the same size tires all around, but 03 300Bs and all 04s need a staggered fitment. I have an 04 and need to know why the car needs a staggered fitment. Thanks for all your help.
^^^what RCR said^^^
03 300A cars did not come with traction control.
The difference in diameter has to be approx 3-6% to keep TC happy.
I am pretty sure the more significant issue is ABS, which cannot be turned off like traction control.
No, it's the traction control that kicks in when all 4 tires are the same size and T/C is not turned off..not hurtin ABS at all..Some memebrs have all the same size for rotation purposes and just turn the T/C off each and every time.
I don't run 255/55/18 too squishy feeling for me.
ABS doesn't kick on automatically like T/C does..you need to brake for ABS to kick in
I did not like them either. It was an expensive and unhappy 20K miles. That size is apparently a sport ute tire.
Yes. A problem that only happens under braking is still a problem in my book.
