Folks, dont worry about finding a hotel or any other logistics yet. We have been working on this for a month and have it covered.

I'd love to make the trip up for MVIII, depending on my work schedule. We've got a Carolina Marauder's meeting this weekend, will bring it up to our membership to discuss as well.

This sounds like an awsome trip!! Codos to the team doing all the legwork. However maybe you should check the NASCAR schedule..... The Nextel Cup will be at M.I.S. on the weekend of Aug. 21. We are still planning on joining you for the cruise if at all possible.

Yes, bad timing on the MIS trip. No chance of anything on that weekend except for a parade lap at the beginning of the race. They always host a car club or two to do a lap. It would be a bit of a drive, but if anyone was interested, I could make a phone call...

Made my reservations 17th thru the 21st, bye-bye on the 22nd.

Anybody interested in going to the Michigan 400, parade lap or not? Do any of the locals know of a bus connection to the track(yeah, I know it sounds kinda dumb, but I hate traffic)? I can't see going all that way and not going to the track.
Also, what about the museums? Any chance at getting a look at Roush? or one of the other Ford museums? They had a great museum at Indy.
I realize that you are having to do a lot of work to put this together, but I would like to see some of these other things. Especially, Roush.
 
Holy cow my wife and I will be in MI this weekend for her 2-th HS reunion (sp)! I am gonna try to make it on Sunday...Her class is meeting on Saturday night in Three Oaks :) :)

Come a couple of days early and take in some of the festivities. The tentative schedule will be posted shortly.
